Organic Oil
We use oils for many things. Preparing breads, pizzas, frying, cooking, baking, etc. Oil is on almost everything these days. If you go out to eat at a fast food, your burger and fries could practically swim in the oil. This begs the question: is this healthy for our bodies?
Food Oils are extracted from a plant substance, for example: corn, soy, or olives. Oils are something our bodies needs, but how much, and what kind? When you extract corn oil, you get approximately 1 tablespoon of oil per 80 ears of corn. That is amazing! The corn does NOT easily give up its oil. This shows something, that when the corn was created, it was created to be eaten as a whole food, and not extracted, processed, cut up, etc. When you eat a ear of corn by itself, you get the oils with it, but at the ratio which was intended for your body. When you are eaten, for instance, fries, they are doused in large amounts of oil, which throws of the proper ratio of corn to oil.
Soy beans are the same way, they do not easily give up their oils.
Now, olive oil, on the other hand, is a very special type of oil. Why? Because olives are a special type of food. They give up their oils VERY easily. The ratio of oil taken from olives is far better than corn or soy. This shows that olive oil was MEANT to be extracted, and is therefore, much healthier for us.
What about heat extraction?
Heat causes things to activate, stir up, and move at higher speeds then they normally would. When a oil is extracted by heat, the particles within the oil are moved about at high speeds and are subject to free radicals. When an oil is heated up to above 200 degrees (F) for over 2 hours, it can be carcinogenic. This means that the oil contains particles that are bad for our body.
Imagine a fast food restaurant, how long do they heat their oil? Just two hours? No, all day. And some smaller restaurants will use oil till it turns black. This is poison to our system!
What is the alternative?
Olive oil is a special oil that our bodies can safely use, because it is eaten in the right proportion. First cold pressed is the best, because they are extracted mechanically without heat and chemicals. While olive oil has a taste that some are not used to, it is far better than oils that are extracted from a plant that isn't meant to be extracted.
