Guava is a tropical fruit, about the size of a small pear. There are several types of guavas, ranging in flavor, and color. The colors of the inside are pink, whit,e, red, and yellow. In a good variety, the seeds can be eaten. In the tropics, guavas can be grown year round.

As far as eating guava, when possible, buy organic.
